inspiration // falling for fall

November 2, 2014
I can’t believe we have November already! Yesterday we almost had 20°C up here and if at all this feels like early September weather – but, I am the last person to complain about this as I do neither miss my winter jacket, nor any snow at all! Plus, the leaves are already colored in the most beautiful red and orange shades, mid-season sale is in full swing and the sun goes down at half past four in the afternoon – this is how we know that fall is here after all… Since I have been having some trouble with choosing my outfits in the morning these days (I HONESTLY do not have anything to wear! #firstworldproblems) I spent some time working on my pinterest fall fashion board earlier trying to trigger my inspiration a little bit and thought it would be nice to share some of these beauties with you – there is nothing like mood boards, photo pinning and scrolling through you instagram feed while enjoying a cup of tea on a cozy Sunday, trust me!

outfit inspiration // fall 2014

October 14, 2014

This morning before heading to university I changed my outfit about ten times. And I still was not happy with the result. There are days when nothing seems to fit and you turn out to be unsatisfied with everything you choose, even with outfits you usually love. I always seem to have this problem when the season changes and the weather becomes kind of unpredictable: This morning we I could not make out the sky and it looked like the rain was never going to stop – Well, guess what, right now I am looking into the bluest sky and the sun is laughing right into my face! Plus, the temperature almost doubled during the day which is why I had to change my clothes all over again once I got home. In phases like this I just love creating mood boards, pinterest walls or Polyvore sets (like the ones I am sharing with you today) that inspire me in times where I struggle with my outfit choices:

top 5 tuesday // favorite blogs to read

September 16, 2014

When I started reading blogs on a regular basis a couple of years ago there were only a handful of blogs I knew and even less that I really loved. As time went by numerous blogs were added to my Bloglovin feed and although I still absolutely love discovering new blogs and the stunning persons behind them, there are a few ones that I sticked to right from the beginning and that I am almost addicted to… Choosing a number of five blogs out of all these beautiful bloggers was definitely the opposite of easy, but here is my hot list of blogs you should totally be following:

1. bikinisandpassports by Vicky Heiler: Definitely number one on my list and an all time favorite of mine! Vicky has an exquisite taste both in fashion and in interior design – plus, I just love her way of writing! I cannot deny I am always beyond excited when she publishes a new post! And while you’re on it: she is editor and co-founder of another special blog that is more than worth a visit as well: thedailydose

2. kates-fashionblog by Katharina: This was one of the first blogs I started reading more frequently and learned to love. Katharina takes the most wonderful pictures and I especially love her ‘New In’ posts (e.g. from her California road trip this summer).

3. berriesandpassion by Nina Radmann: I have basically discovered this one via Instagram and though I have not been following berriesandpassion as long as the two above, it has become one of my personal favorite reads in no time. This blog has just the perfect mix of fashion, recipes, travels and fitness – plus, Nina is a real beauty!

4. hello october by Suzie: I have to admit that whenever I read a post on this blog I cannot help myself but laugh a little at her texts. Suzie is so natural and charming (you seriously must watch her videos) and made her way right into my top 5 favorite blogs in no time.

5. goldencherry by Miriam: sometimes pictures say more than a thousand words and though I enjoy a good read I often tend to only look at pictures and just skip the associated text. What I love about this blog most is its simplicity: few colors, text and a simple design – and of course Miriam’s perfect outfit pictures.

shopping // bikini season ♥

July 14, 2014
Summer is here which means it is about time to enjoy a swim in the sea and some sunbathing! That is if you have a summer vacation planned – I am literally counting the days until I finally depart, as I am more than ready for some relaxation and travels. And there is one thing that may not be absent when on a perfect summer trip: bikinis! I love to mix and match different tops, bottoms and colors and am still in search of some lovely ones for my vacation this year. So I did some research and this is what I found:

I have a major crush both on the pink one up right and on the mint colored bandeau bikini – which one(s) do you prefer? 🙂

summer cravings

June 21, 2014
Summer is here! Well, at least that is what my calendar is telling me – taking a quick look out of my window rather makes me assume we are stuck in the middle of November… Anyway, I have to admit I am not too sad about the current weather conditions, as studying is much easier while it is cold and windy and rainy outside than it would be if we had sunshine all day long. Since I forbid myself any kind of shopping until I am finished with my exams, I have to stick to cravings lists for now:

summer cravings

  1. Light patterned trousers are my choice for hot days e.g. at work and this one is waiting for me in my shopping basket.
  2. I love heeled sandals in the summer, especially when they are not too high so that they are not only suitable for daily use but also for special occasions.
  3. Okay, this shirt is perfection: it has blue and white stripes, it is made out of linen AND it has a spark of pink. Nothing more to say.
  4. Mint is one of my favorite colors when it comes to summer clothes and accessories. Isn’t this bikini just too cute?
  5. I have to admit, yellow and me, we haven’t exactly been best friends up until now, but when this top caught my eye I fell in love immediately.
  6. The perfect companion for summer travels: a passport case in blue and white.
  7. I have to confess something here: I have never ever owned a maxi dress. That’s mostly because I am not exactly the tallest person on earth and never quite liked them on me. But this is definitely going to change this summer, because this dress is to die for!
