travels // santorini photo diary part II

September 3, 2014
Oía, Santorini
After only one and a half week back home I already feel like I am in desperate need of a vacation again! But, as there is no trip planned to look forward to (yet), I have to settle for looking through our numerous Santorini photos and for the few hours of sunshine that we are blessed with these days. Aren’t those white houses paired with the blue sea simply perfection?

outfit // mint dress

August 29, 2014

Mint and summer are almost like Christmas and snow – they simply belong together. As much as I love any kind of mint-colored piece of clothing (not to mention nail polish), tanned skin, golden sunlight and blue sky are essential to draw attention to this summery color. No wonder that during our stay on Santorini (read about my trip here) I took the opportunity to wear my mint green dress as often as I could. Combined with sandals and a plain black shoulder bag I was perfectly dressed not only for exploring the island during the day, but also for dinner in the tavern 🙂

dress | H&M
bag | deena & ozzy (via Urban Outfitters)

watch | Michael Kors

August 26, 2014

The past 10 days have been a blast! Our much longed-for summer vacation on Santorini has finally happened – so fast I cannot believe it is over already… Plus, I am in a temperature shock! The temperatures have fallen drastically during our get-away and it feels like autumn here already. But, I am not in the position to be able to complain after one and a half week full of clear blue sky and sunshine, temperatures above 30 degrees on every single day and enjoying the beauty of this little Greek island in the middle of the Aegean Sea, am I? Now, enough talking, I better let the pictures speak for themselves… 🙂

travels // strasbourg + bella italia

August 13, 2014

I am back home after a short visit to Strasbourg followed by a perfect week in Italy full of relaxation at the pool, sun and lots of pizza and pasta! It had been my first visit to Strasbourg and I really enjoyed it: the tiny streets, those cute old houses along the Rhine River, the atmosphere and the weather made my stay unforgettable – Strasbourg is really worth a visit! As I said, next we were headed to Italy – Baveno, Lago Maggiore to be exact. I had been to the lake before and I absolutely enjoyed every second of that week – and of course the stunning view! Now I am back in town – but only to repack and step into the next plane tomorrow morning. To Santorini, Greece. But first things first – here is a little peek into my last week:

travels // santorini 2014

April 10, 2014
Ever since I have watched ‘The Sisterhood of the traveling pants’ when I was about thirteen I had the secret wish to travel to Santorini. This tiny Greek island belongs to a whole bunch of similarly beautiful islands – all located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea – called the Cyclades. Those white houses with their sea blue shutters, amazing sunsets and crystal clear water – only to name a few goodies the island has to offer. All the more reason for me to be beyond excited that we have booked our summer vacation trip to, yep, Santorini! I cannot describe in words the extent of my longing for August which is when we will depart! Hopefully these bright prospects will make the upcoming months that are stuffed full of work and studying a little easier 🙂

Have you ever been to the island? Are your summer vacations booked already as well?
