summer cravings

June 21, 2014
Summer is here! Well, at least that is what my calendar is telling me – taking a quick look out of my window rather makes me assume we are stuck in the middle of November… Anyway, I have to admit I am not too sad about the current weather conditions, as studying is much easier while it is cold and windy and rainy outside than it would be if we had sunshine all day long. Since I forbid myself any kind of shopping until I am finished with my exams, I have to stick to cravings lists for now:

summer cravings

  1. Light patterned trousers are my choice for hot days e.g. at work and this one is waiting for me in my shopping basket.
  2. I love heeled sandals in the summer, especially when they are not too high so that they are not only suitable for daily use but also for special occasions.
  3. Okay, this shirt is perfection: it has blue and white stripes, it is made out of linen AND it has a spark of pink. Nothing more to say.
  4. Mint is one of my favorite colors when it comes to summer clothes and accessories. Isn’t this bikini just too cute?
  5. I have to admit, yellow and me, we haven’t exactly been best friends up until now, but when this top caught my eye I fell in love immediately.
  6. The perfect companion for summer travels: a passport case in blue and white.
  7. I have to confess something here: I have never ever owned a maxi dress. That’s mostly because I am not exactly the tallest person on earth and never quite liked them on me. But this is definitely going to change this summer, because this dress is to die for!

birthday girl // wishlist

March 1, 2014
My birthday is coming up in four days, so it is just about time for a wishlist! During the last few years I did not really come up with one, because I just did not have any real wishes (sounds impossible, I know!). Most of the things I wanted were either affordable, so that I bought them myself, or too expensive to ask for them, or I did not like them enough to put them on the list. So it would usually end up with me getting money and some small gifts which is perfectly okay, really, but there is nothing like the feeling when you have desperately wished for something for a little time and you find that thing on your birthday table! Well, this year that exact feeling might come true for me, as I do have a great wish: a new camera! The Canon EOS M to be exact. I have been craving that little baby for what feels like an eternity now and I cannot wait to hold it in my hands and start shooting with it – so you’d  better be prepared for a flood of great quality pictures on the blog soon! 🙂
Since this wish does already go beyond the birthday budget, I only added a few cheaper gift ideas:
2) I have finished “Gone Girl” a few weeks ago I am now eager to try another novel by Gillian Flynn: “Sharp Objects“.
3) I have heard a lot of good things about the False Lash Mascara from L’oréal and since my Mascara is nearly used up by now, I could really need a new one!
4) Do you know Rituals? They have the most heavenly smelling Body Butters, Shower foams, … – I’d be over the moon if I got one of these!
5) Smoothies are always a good idea and since I am currently addicted to them this little helper would come in very handy!
6) Last, but not least, my absolute favorite lipstick from Maybelline (I put it on basically every day) definitely needs a companion – “Ultimate Blush” would be my choice!

my christmas wishlist

December 5, 2013
Christmas is just around the corner and that means it is time to grab a pen and write down all your secret wishes for Santa! Well, at least that’s what we did back in our childhood days – today lots of shopping websites offer the possibility to collect every single wish that occurs during the year and save it in your personal wishlist (in my case thats a lot cause my birthday is in march!). Then, when you are asked about your wishes, it is quite easy to just share your wishlist-link with your friends and family (potential gift buyers) who can then directly buy the products on that list. Guess you can call that a win-win, huh? I don’t know about you, but I use this feature a lot, especially before christmas (as you might know I am kind of addicted to making any kind of lists). I usually put items on that list that I am craving in that moment, but that I feel are just a tiny bit too expensive for me to buy them myself. So here’s what’s on my list this year:

1) I’ve read so many good things about the benefit high beam on various blogs that I would really love to try it myself!

2) Oh, I’ve walked around the MAC blush counter countless times, but never got myself to buy one – the Mineralize Blusher “Love Joy” is the perfect christmas wish!

3) Seriously, I could never have enough essie bottles – I’ve seen “bahama mama” and “blanc” a lot on instagram lately and totally fell in love with these shades!

4) I know, I knooow, a Michael Kors watch is nothing special these days as every girl seems to have one by now, BUT I only converted from being a watch hater to being a watch lover some months ago and now I really need a classic one! The rosegold MK5128 ist simply perfect and made its way up on my list this year 🙂

5) Winter and the cold are driving me crazy and I find myself wearing my super warm quilted jacket nearly every single morning, but I desperately need a coat for both some change and more classy events in winter!

6) Guess I missed out on the nike free hype that went on about half a year ago or at least I’m pretty late. Buuut that’s only because when everyone started wearing them, I had just bought new fitness shoes… But I finally decided that I need them anyway – just can’t resist the pink ones!

7) The Urban Decay Naked One‘s a total classic that is missing in my beauty collection – hopefully not anymore after christmas!

8) This chair has been following me around in magazines, on instagram, on blogs and during various trips to IKEA – it does indeed fit perfectly into my room and it matches so well with my glas table! Imagine it with a fluffy white fur laying upon it….
